The collection includes art, relics, religious thangkha paintings, postage stamps, coins and handicrafts, as well as a small natural history collection. Then walk down a short hillside trail to visit Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong), built in 1646, and now housing the offices of the district administration and Paro's monk body.

Day 3: Paro-Chonana (Trek begins)
We will be leaving Paro for Chonana. Today your trek is on a gentle climb through the pine forest. On this trek you will pass through beautiful farmhouses built in typical Bhutanese rural architect. We will walk today about four hours and on the way we may be greeted by local farmers. You will be witnessing excellent view of Paro valley. Overnight in camp.

Day 4: Chonana- Jebkarpo
Early breakfast and we will leave Chonana for Jebkarpo, on which we will walk for about six hours. As you trek uphill most of the day a bamboo walking stick will come in handy for this section of the trek, for those ups that always go down.  This trek takes you through forest filled with Rhododendrons, Primula and many other species of plants and trees. After crossing the Chelila Pass, it goes along the ridge of Chelila with wonderful views of the Himalayan Mountains. Overnight in camp

Day 5: Jebkarpo- Lower Mingula
After having early breakfast we will depart Jebkarpo for Lower Mingula. This trail follows the ridge above the Ha valley. It is about 5-6 hours walk. Overnight in camp at attitude of 12,500 ft

Day 6: Lower Mingula- Thong
Today we will depart Lower Mingula for Thong which is five hours walk. This trek will be with excellent views of mountains, valleys, lots of Yaks and watching the Yaks roam. Laya Yak herders migrate to the valleys in the harsh winters of the high Himalayans with the herders. Laya people speak their own dialect and live remotely. Overnight in camp at attitude of 12,700ft

Day 7: Thong- Thimphu
This is our final day for the trek so we will depart Thong to return to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. A short descend and we will be in beautiful Paro valley. After this we will have lunch in Paro and then drive to Thimphu. In Thimphu we will refresh ourselves and have leisure time to shop, perhaps the famous weekend Thimphu market.

Day 8: Thimphu, hike to tango. The Tango Monastery is a Buddhist monastery located 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) to the north of the capital city of Thimphu in Bhutan, near Cheri Mountain. It was founded by Lama Gyalwa Lhanampa in the 13th century and built in its present form by Tenzin Rabgye, the 4th Temporal Ruler in 1688. In 1616, the Tibetan, Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, meditated in its cave. The self-emanated form of the wrathful Hayagriva is deified in the monastery. It belongs to the Drukpa Kagyu School of Buddhism in Bhutan.

Day 9: Thimphu-Punakha- Wangdue Phodrang
Early breakfast, we drive past the Dochula pass at 10,000 ft, to Punakha. On this tour you will see some of the highest peaks in Bhutan including Gangkhar Puensum, the highest unclimbed mountain in the world. This trek pass through the temperate forest coloured with Rhododendrons and Magnolias takes you to the semi- tropical zone of orange cactus and bananas and to the valley of Punakha. Then we will visit the town and Punakha Dzong. Visit Wangdue Dzong which is strategic in its location, a mountain top fortress. Lunch at Punakha and the drive back to Thimphu. Overnight in hotel in Thimphu

Day 10: Thimphu- Paro

Along the way we will shop to hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery to view this architectural wonder (horses can be provided if you have had enough walking!). Taktsang means “Tiger’s Nest” and this spectacular building is perched on a rocky ledge with a sheer drop of 3,000 ft. It is said that in the second half of the 8th century, Guru Padma Sambhava, the second Buddha, alighted here upon the back of a tigress. Enjoy picnic lunch at Taktsang cafeteria. Overnight in hotel
