1st Day: Arrive Paro & Sightseeing (over night in hotel)
On a clear day, the flight to Paro is breathtaking, with views of major Himalayan peaks such as Everest, Kanchenjunga and Makalu, and on the final approach Bhutan’s own snowy peaks, the sacred Chomolhari, Jichu Drake and Tserimgang. You will be met by our representative, and after completion of arrival formalities you will be taken to your hotel Evening short sightseeing.

2nd Day:
Paro- Hike to Taktsang-Thimphu (over night in hotel)
The trip begins with 20 minutes drive till the road and start uphill walk for about an hour. Taktsang is the popular name of Taktsang Palphug Monastery, a prominent Himalayan Buddhist sacred site and temple complex, located in the Cliffside of upper Paro valley. On approach path to the monastery, there is a Lakhang and a temple of Urgyan Tsemo which, like the main monastery, is located on a rocky projection of several hundred feet over the valley. From this location, the monastery’s buildings are on the opposite ravine, which is known by the name “COPPER-COLOURED MOUNTAIN PARADISE of Padmasambhava”. This is the view point of visitors and there is cafeteria to provide refreshment. After that we will drive back to Paro valley and have lunch and by evening we will drive to Thimphu.

3rd Day:
Thimphu sightseeing (over night in hotel)
After breakfast sightseeing in Thimphu, visiting the National Memorial Chorten, majestic Tashichhodzong, the Handicrafts Emporium and for shopping and leisure, then after lunch sightseeing in Thimphu includes visits to the National Library, the Institute for ZorigChusum (where students learn the 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan), the National Institute of Traditional Medicine (outside only), and the National Textile Museum, as time permits.

4th Day:
Thimphu- Punakha sightseeing (over night in hotel)
After breakfast we will drive to Bhutan’s former capital Punakha, stopping en route at Dochu-la pass (3,088m/10,130ft) for refreshments. On a clear day you will enjoy breathtaking mountain views from this spot. On arrival at Punakha, check into the hotel. In the evening visit Punakha Dzong, a 17th century fortress. Afterwards take a stroll around the market area.

5th Day: Punakha- Trongsa- Bumthang (over night in hotel)
On the way you will be experiencing the beauty of nature, beautifully clear weather which will give you the opportunity to witness beautiful mountain peaks covered with snow, wild flowers and the beautiful smell of pine trees and fresh air, on the reach to Trongsa you will be visiting TrongsaDzong, a masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture. Built in 1647, it is the most impressive Dzong in Bhutan. Also see Ta Dzong, the watchtower built to defend this Dzong. After lunch, proceed to Bumthang, the religious heartland of the nation.

6th Day: Bumthang Sightseeing (over night in hotel)
Early breakfast and your tour guide will be taking you for the sightseeing and visit to TamshingLhakhang, founded in 1501 by Pema Lingpa, which contains interesting and ancient Buddhist wall paintings. Later on we will visit JakarDzong, “the castle of the white bird”, the administrative center of the region. After lunch we will visit KurjeLhakhang, one of the most sacred places in Bhutan as Guru Rinpoche meditated here, and later on JambeyLhakhang which was erected in the 7th century, when Buddhism was first introduced into Bhutan.

7th Day: Bumthang- Nagang Lakhang. (Overnight in camp)
This trek follows the Chamkhar Chu (river taking us through meadows, scrub of bamboo and forest of blue pine. You will be passing by many villages and temples, on this very relaxing and easy day. Camp Overnight at village.

8th Day: Nagang Lhakhang- Ugyen Chholing. (Overnight in camp)
The trek ascends gradually through juniper forest towards Phephe-la pass. And from there the path is separates Tang valley, before reaching Ugyencholing village. Camp overnight by the side of the river near the village.

9th Day: Ugyen Chholing- Bumthang (over night in hotel)
Early breakfast and then we will walk up to Ugyencholing Palace, a beautiful private mansion, and then drive to Jakar (Bumthang) following the Tang Chu until arriving at the main road. On the way we will visit the Mebar Tso Lake, where Terton Pema Lingpa is said to have discovered religious treasures in the 15th century. This lake is very scared, and on auspicious days many Bhutanese people go there to offer butter lamps.

10th Day: Bumthang- Gangtey (over night in hotel)
After early breakfast we will drive to Gangtey which passes through a mixed forest of juniper, bamboo, and rhododendron, magnolia, firs, oaks, spruce, dwarf rhododendrons and cypress. This trek gives you an opportunity to visit the isolated valleys of Gangtey Gompa/Phobjikha, Gogona and Kothoka and visit the great monastery of Gangtey, established in the 17th century. In the evening, take a stroll around Gangtey village and visit GangteyGompa, the only Nyingmapa monastery in the kingdom.

11th Day: Gangtey- Thimphu (over night in hotel)
Early breakfast and then drive back to Thimphu. On the way, enjoy the most spectacular view of the eastern Himalayan mountain ranges (the view is possible only on clear day).

12th Day: Thimphu- Paro Sightseeing (over night in hotel)
After breakfast we will drive to the Paro. It will be relaxing day, as you will be whole day in Paro. So we will visit Ta Dzong, built in 1651 as a watchtower for Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong) and in 1968 inaugurated as the National Museum. The Museum collection includes ancient Bhutanese art and artifacts, weapons, coins stamps and a small natural history collection. Also we will visit Rinpung Dzong, built in 1646 to defend the valley against Tibetan invaders.

13th Day: Early breakfast in the hotel and drive to the airport for flight to onward destination.

Bumthang is one of the most beautiful and holy place in Bhutan. It is also often described as the spiritual heart land of Bhutan. The visitors will be able to witness the beauty of nature, oldest Buddhist Monasteries, temples and varieties of Flora & Funa.
